Not only did Seth Rogen drastically alter his appearance to play the Green Hornet, the actor’s big screen superhero flick is also getting a makeover.
Green Hornet Release Date is published. Sony Pictures announced Friday that it will push back the release of its holiday film, “The Green Hornet,” from its original Dec. 22 date to the Martin Luther King Day holiday weekend of Jan. 14, Entertainment Weekly reports.
The move will give the studio time to convert the film to 3-D, while perhaps also making a profit by pulling it out of the competition amongst the other 3-D releases planned for December, including Disney’s “Tron” and Warner Bros.’s “Yogi Bear.”
Sony vice-chairman Jeff Blake assured the movie community that this decision was not made in haste, and that the movie has just completed initial photography and has not been edited. Also, the special effects process has yet to begin.
Directed by Michel Gondry (“Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”), “The Green Hornet” stars Seth Rogen as a suave newspaper publisher who turns into a masked superhero at night.
